Celebrated interior designer Brian Woulfe had spent ten years building his reputation. And he’d done so with great success, having achieved a string of industry awards and accolades, and a very strong standing within the luxury interiors niche.
But Brian had a desire to attract more high quality clients, and grow his reputation across some of the more affluent areas of the UK, and beyond. Our strategy was two-phase. Firstly, we needed to make sure the existing website was primed and ready to support our SEO campaign. So we worked closely with Brian’s web developers to repair the glitches we’d identified during our research phase. Glitches that would hold the site back from achieving top rankings. Technical improvements made and page speed optimised, we were ready to move on to phase two.
A personalised content strategy formed the heart of the second stage of our campaign. Working alongside the company’s in-house writer, we developed a blog plan that would enrich the website with user and Google-friendly quality content, based on researched keyword targeting tactics.
Next on the content agenda was our show stopper: location landing pages. Key target locations identified, we carried out keyword research and created dozens of pages, each uniquely optimised for a single geographical area. Landing pages are a hugely effective local SEO strategy, showing search engines that a website has authority in a local area, and driving qualified leads with higher conversion rates.
And this was certainly the case for Designed by Woulfe, where these pages had a significant impact on local search results, pushing Google ranking positions up by over 7,000 places in the first six months of the campaign alone.
