It can take years of hard work to build a trusted reputation in the financial services industry. Chartered financial planners Partridge Muir & Warren had done just that, but with a lack of online visibility, they were missing out on new leads that could turn into valuable long term business.

Handing over to Figment to take the reins in 2020, it became our mission to ensure their new website was ready to support their search engine visibility goals, and to devise a personalised optimisation strategy to get them the leads they needed to grow.
Our strategy was twofold. First was to make sure the new website provided a strong foundation for SEO success. That meant a detailed SEO audit, and careful page redirects to protect any existing backlinks and ensure a frustration-free user experience. When it comes to creating online leads, there’s nothing quite as valuable as top Google rankings. And those were precisely what we set out to achieve.
A tactical link building and citation strategy. On-page refinement of meta titles and descriptions, and technical SEO to ensure a Google-friendly platform. All of this, backed by a tailor-made SEO roadmap, meant that those top rankings started coming thick and fast for PMW, reaching 69 Page One listings in just a few short months. But the success didn’t end there.
By January 2023, those Page One listings had topped 169, with 112 of them holding highly valuable top three positions.
Also included in the strategy was a carefully-targeted content campaign. Regular articles were produced, covering a variety of topical subjects linked to the client’s core services and designed to answer the typical questions people were asking.
This aspect of the SEO campaign has seen particular success, with certain posts earning top positions in Google search, leading to considerable inbound traffic. These results have had a positive effect on the popularity of the website generally in search, and have attracted natural backlinks, which are of significant value for SEO.

With outstanding growth in organic traffic, topping 144% in 2022 compared to 2021, Partridge Muir & Warren is now enjoying a steady flow of new clients from its website. They were also able to switch off their paid online advertising campaign early on as a result, saving them considerable sums on PPC.
What’s more, goal completions from organic search are up 23%, with more email sign-ups, increased requests for a free consultation, and boosted leads.

Making use of tried and tested Local Pack optimisation tactics, we achieved excellent visibility for local and ‘near me’ searches in Surrey and surrounding areas for PMW, showing them as the go-to financial planners and wealth management specialists locally.
Now, with as many as 32 top three rankings in Google Maps, PMW has cemented its online reputation in just as strong a position as the offline reputation it has strived to build over the past 50 years.
